• Blanket Drive

"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others." (Philippians 2:3-4)

What an incredible visual we had the past two weeks of this Scripture in action -- the tremendous outpouring of support for the homeless in our area was extraordinary!

Haven thanks Our Savior Lutheran School in Grafton so very much for your contribution to our Blanket Drive. These donations were dropped off this past week to a very appreciative group (Mr. Bob's Under the Bridge) who works directly with the homeless and those in need in our area. Think of how impactful one blanket can be in these cold temperatures, how treasured one blanket can be as a possession to those who own nothing but the clothing on their back.

"We love because He first loved us" (1 John 4:19) -- thank you for showing your love for the Lord by sharing your possessions with others.

  • Book Drive

Each and every one of us has a story to share. Some of our stories are harder than others. Thanks to generous donations to our book drive, Haven was able to provide some “happily ever afters” for our community kids who are facing some difficult times right now. These books will be used to build their "at-home" libraries.

A heartfelt thank you to the faculty, staff, students, and families at Our Savior Lutheran Church and School in Grafton for hosting the book drive for us, collecting the items, and procuring donations. In addition, our sincere gratitude to Grafton Public Library (pictured below is the library's Mrs. Judy Jones) for generously contributing books to our children in need.

  • School Supply Drive

Back-to-school time, while often fun and exciting, can also be a difficult time for both children and parents when they aren’t sure how they will be able to afford their sometimes very lengthy school supply lists. The Haven Project Collective was able to help families in some new ways this year and were able to provide many students in Ozaukee County with their entire school supply list as well as providing families with bags of Back-to-School snacks to take home with them.

We want to give a huge thank you to the members of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Our Savior Lutheran Church & School, and all of our generous donors who gave with an outpouring of support for these families during a time that can be so stressful for many families.

We look forward to helping many more families in the near future and ask you to keep these members of our community in your continued prayers.
