THANKFUL FOR A DOLLAR
In God’s eyes, every soul holds infinite value. Whether a close friend or a passing acquaintance, each person we meet is deeply loved by our Savior. We explore Christ’s example of cherishing every individual as He calls us to see others with the same love and warmth.
Dead Men Don’t Struggle
“No man knows how bad he is till he has tried very hard to be good. We never find out the strength of the evil impulse inside of us until we try to fight it.” -- C.S. Lewis
Look at My Hands and Feet
The disciples had a lot going on. The crucifixion of their Lord, the women informing them of Christ’s resurrection, the fear and turmoil that kept them locked inside of a room, unsure of what to do next. And now two guys from Emmaus rushed in to tell them that they had walked and dined with Jesus!
This Time Around
It’s Lent and we’re reading about the crucifixion. The Gospels beautifully regale the events leading up to it, what happened on Good Friday, and the “who’s who” surrounding the dark (but redeeming) day on Calvary.
Some Great Thing
We’ve all heard the expression, “If you cannot do big things, then do the little things in big ways.” That’s great, go ahead. But we should also challenge ourselves to do the little things in little ways, knowing that the Lord will multiply even the smallest of tasks done in His name.
When We Can’t See Jesus: The Road to Emmaus
“Why can’t Jesus just show up to me, like He did to people a long, long time ago?”
And the Lord Turned and Looked…
I love the duality of the people we meet in the Bible. It makes them seem that much more human and that much more relatable as I read God’s Word. They are real people, with amazing qualities but also, harrowing faults.
This We Believe
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
